France fully lifts travel ban on Telegram CEO

Jinse Finance reported that during the investigation of the messaging platform Telegram by French authorities, the company's CEO Pavel Durov has had his travel ban fully lifted. Law enforcement had been investigating whether Durov conspired to allow criminal activities to occur on the app. Initially, he was ordered to remain in France, but in June, Durov won a relaxation of the restrictions, allowing him limited travel to Dubai. In August a year ago, French authorities arrested Durov at a Paris airport as he disembarked from a private jet, an incident that made global headlines. He was detained and interrogated for four days and was charged with allegedly conspiring to allow criminal activities on the app. He has consistently denied these allegations. At the time, he was required to pay a bail of 5 million euros (5.8 million USD), was prohibited from leaving France, and was ordered to report to authorities twice a week.
