After several Federal Reserve officials collectively adopted a dovish stance today, bets on a December rate cut have heated up again, after the probability of a rate cut had previously dropped below 30%. The probability of keeping rates unchanged in December is 8.2%.
The probability that the Federal Reserve will keep rates unchanged until January 2026 is 19.2%, the probability of a cumulative 25 basis point rate cut is 57.1%, and the probability of a cumulative 50 basis point rate cut is 23.7%.
The next two FOMC meeting dates are December 10 and January 28, 2026.
