Solana continues its methodical infiltration into the layers of the crypto industry. Having become fertile ground for DeFi developers, it exhibits a strategic consistency that impresses. Its fast and low-cost architecture attracts the crowds. And now powerful statistics reappear: DEX volumes surpassing those of Ethereum, record fees generated… So many signals shaking the front lines. Enough to rekindle hopes around a lagging SOL token. 94.8 billion dollars: this is the cumulative volume of DEXs on Solana over the past 30 days, compared to 64.8 billion for Ethereum. The network outperforms its rival, powered by Jupiter (50% of volumes), Raydium, and Zeta Markets, which explodes with +212% volume growth in one month. In the crypto arena, Solana had found a weapon of conquest: memecoins. Popular, viral, they boosted transactions and fees. But today, the fever is cooling off, their golden age is over . Speculative enthusiasm may have peaked. The challenge for Solana is now clear: to turn technical success into lasting adoption. The time is no longer for speed, but for depth. Without sustained engagement, numbers are no longer enough. While Solana sets records , threats accumulate. First, a financial danger: 3.55 million SOL will be unlocked by August, some 600 million $ that could flood the market. Next, a structural threat: MEV attacks (sandwich, front-running) exploit the network’s speed. Finally, fierce competition: Hyperliquid records a volume 84% higher than its five largest rivals combined. Some Solana DApps even consider migrating. But a catalyst is emerging: the anticipated approval of a Spot Solana ETF in October. Enough to reignite hopes for a bullish rally. Currently, derivatives markets show a lack of confidence: negative funding rates, shorts under pressure. Yet weak signals persist. Davo highlights “the native use of assets as collateral on Solana“. And the solid network structure could become an asset again if connected to renewed storytelling. Key figures to remember: The Ethereum–Solana duel takes an unprecedented turn. More and more analysts anticipate a shift. Cantor Fitzgerald now recommends betting on SOL . Anthony Scaramucci, of SkyBridge, sees Solana as a future giant. For Solana, the game is far from over. It may just be beginning.

While the crypto ecosystem remains dominated by the heavyweights Bitcoin and Ethereum, a bold statement from Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital, is shaking up the hierarchy. At the DigiAssets 2025 conference, the investor claimed that Solana will overtake Ethereum, while admitting he does not have a strong opinion on the latter. A comment that reignites a heated debate: can Solana really establish itself as the new standard of blockchains? Scaramucci is not a first-hour crypto evangelist. His entry into the arena dates back to 2020, at a time when Ethereum reigned uncontested over smart contracts. Yet, his disinterest in ETH is not tinged with rejection but rather with stronger adherence to another story: that of Solana. He claims to understand its story a bit better, an understatement that says much about his conviction. SkyBridge Capital, his investment vehicle, now holds “a nine-figure balance in bitcoin and Solana,” and about 40% of its digital assets are concentrated in a few cryptos including SOL. This is therefore not a mere speculative bet but a massive strategic allocation that also includes names like Avalanche and Polkadot. We are talking about 300 million dollars in a diversified crypto fund but clearly oriented towards blockchains with high adoption potential. In terms of price, the duel remains uncertain. In January 2025, Sol crypto flirted with 293 dollars before dropping back to 145 $. A decrease of 23.2% in a few months, comparable to that of Ethereum which lost 24.75% in the same period. But where the comparison becomes more intriguing is at the market capitalization level: Solana weighs 76 billion dollars, far behind Ethereum’s 304 billion. In other words, if Solana really wants to overthrow Ethereum, it will have to almost quadruple its current value. A feat that will depend neither on a simple stroke of luck nor a passing craze. This will require structural advances: adoption by developers, network robustness, technical innovations, and above all, resilience against flaws like those observed in the past (notably network outages). It should be noted that Scaramucci’s prediction is not consensual. On the institutional side, the bank Standard Chartered , in a recent note, states that the crypto Sol will underperform ETH during the next two to three years. Their analysis is based on solid fundamentals: the depth of the Ethereum ecosystem, its advances in the L2 ( Layer 2 ) domain, and the solidity of its decentralized smart contracts. However, these arguments do not seem to shake Scaramucci. And while his prognosis may seem provocative, it resonates with a feeling increasingly shared in the community: Ethereum is slow, expensive, and its move to proof-of-stake has not (yet) solved all its problems. Conversely, Solana, with its fast and inexpensive transactions, attracts dApp developers, NFT projects, and Web3 games. Will Solana really be able to dethrone Ethereum? The story remains to be written. In 2025, while the old father bitcoin advances undisturbed against inflation and geopolitical storms , his heirs stir. What if one of them, Solana, stepped out of the sandbox to shake up the established order?

2184 Open Beta is Live A few months back, some players expressed that they would like a space where they could hang out together with other FSL players they knew: “STEPN was a PvE game. We wanted a game that we could play together.” While Gas Hero attempted to offer the social aspect, the game was overall demanding: the requirement of 81 people to play in the same guild with the more or less the same Strength is tough; the competitiveness and intense requirement of growth in the game is a bit of an entry barrier.  Can we have a game where people at all levels can play and gather together daily? A space where some could choose to be competitive, whilst some could play casual if they want?  These questions led us to how FSL designed 2184. We want 2184 to be a game not just about competition and exciting PvP, but also a game of teamwork. We want 2184 to become a game where all FSL players, hardcore or easy, can play and hang out together in different guilds.  The ones who only want to “casually hang out with their FSL friends” can contribute their share to their guild in Guild Quests, Guild Blessing, and Research Lab. There are also some Guild Bosses where you can challenge and gain extra battle buffs. If you don’t want to play against the bosses, you can also run Duels with each other. The duel is particularly fun when your Strength is at par with your pal within the same guild, because you may never know how many games you can win against your pal out of 10. At the end of each duel cycle, there are also small amounts of rewards for the competitive duel players.   We also have prepared carefully for the ones who want to play competitive strategy against each other. For the real competitive grinders, you can participate in the more exciting but challenging Guild Raids, and, ultimately, the Guild Wars.  In 2184, Guild Leaders and Senators are not only just the names; they have real responsibilities. Guild Leaders / Senators need to pick the brothers and sisters to go on the Guild Raids with them. The Guild Leaders also have the ability to arrange the battle order in the Guild War: you can adjust your strategy until the last minute before the Guild War formally starts - maybe you will adjust your strategy based on the information you collect about the rival 👀.  Still, this is not everything about the “social gaming” concept in 2184. A lot more social engagements can be run beyond the in-game interface: at the Quarter-finals of Muddie Mountain or Guild Wars, we want to offer predictions for everyone to participate on social media.
