What is Contentos (COS)?

Contentos, a blockchain protocol that is working towards building a decentralized digital content industry platform. The protocol aims to reward all stakeholders fairly, including producers, users, and advertisers, for their contributions to the content industry. I was impressed to learn that the platform aspires to become the Ethereum of digital content in the future, paving the way for various types of content DApps. Contentos' vision is to create a digital content community that enables content to be generated, distributed, acknowledged, and traded freely while protecting author rights.

What caught my attention is that the Contentos platform offers a unique peer-to-peer income distribution system that makes content value public and rewards users. The platform intends to establish a decentralized traffic distribution model that motivates users to share and distribute content to the appropriate audience. The platform uses blockchain technology to ensure that copyright verification and transactions are transparent. Additionally, Contentos aims to provide an immutable credit system where users are accountable for their credit score generated based on their contributions.

How does Contentos (COS) Work?

As per the whitepaper, Contentos strives to function as an open content protocol that facilitates the transfer of content and advertising values. Its primary objective is to operate as a memory chain that records every user's contributions. The platform's goal is to leverage smart contracts to enable seamless transaction payments and bonus distributions without any third-party involvement.

The Contentos protocol aims to tackle the challenges that often lead to copyright infringements by verifying, transferring, and storing non-physical property rights. This process ensures quick and complete access to copyright information through the platform. Additionally, the blockchain-based platform also maintains a continuous record of content providers' trade balance and copyright work.

What is the COS Token?

Contentos has its own token known as COS which is an ERC-20 Token Standard token that is built on the Ethereum network. The purpose of the COS token is to incentivize users to create, select, distribute, store, and verify content on the Contentos network. The platform is also planning to introduce a digital asset wallet for storing COS tokens. COS.TV, a video platform powered by the Contentos blockchain, is also in the works.
