According to Wu, Worldcoin is facing a legal lawsuit in Buenos Aires for allegedly violating the Argentine "National Consumer Protection Law." The company is accused of adding unfair terms in contracts that infringe on consumer rights, such as allowing service suspension without refunds, forcing users to waive their collective claims rights, and setting arbitration in California against local laws. Additionally, the company's handling of user iris data is stored in Brazil and does not prevent minors from registering. Due to these violations, Worldcoin may face fines exceeding $1 million.
