U.S. prosecutors request retrial for MIT brothers accused of stealing $25 million in cryptocurrency
According to ChainCatcher, citing Bloomberg, U.S. federal prosecutors have requested a retrial for two brothers accused of stealing approximately $25 million in cryptocurrency from Ethereum blockchain traders.
According to court documents filed Monday evening, government attorneys have asked Manhattan federal district judge Jessica Clarke to schedule a new fraud trial for James and Anton Peraire-Bueno, both recent graduates of MIT, as early as February next year.
