Stable (STABLE): The USDT-Native Layer-1 Blockchain
Stable is an institutional-grade, USDT-native blockchain for stablecoin payments with sub-second finality and gas paid in USDT. Founded by Joshua Harding and backed by $28 million from Bitfinex, Hack VC, Franklin Templeton, and PayPal Ventures, Stable (STABLE) will soon be available on Bitget!
What is Stable (STABLE)?
Stable is an institutional-grade, USDT-native blockchain designed as settlement infrastructure for stablecoin payments, with sub-second finality, gas in USDT, and regulatory alignment.

Existing stablecoin infrastructure forces 500M+ users to face unpredictable and spiking fees, slow and opaque enterprise integration, and the need to juggle volatile tokens just to move digital dollars.
Stable provides USDT-native rails where USDT is both the settlement asset and gas token, with free peer-to-peer transfers.
Core Innovation: Stable is a "USDT chain" where payments are instant, peer-to-peer transfers are free, fees are paid in USDT, and the chain is engineered for institutional-grade scale and compliance.
The chain is EVM compatible, so existing Ethereum-style smart contracts and tools can run on Stable with minimal changes. The roadmap adds optimistic parallel execution, StableDB, and DAG-based consensus to push throughput toward 10,000+ TPS.
Who Created Stable (STABLE)?
Stable was founded in 2024 by payments and fintech operators building USDT-native payment rails.
Joshua Harding (Founder, Original CEO):
Founder and original CEO who fronted Stable's launch and seed round. Incubated with backing from Bitfinex and Tether.
Current Executive Team:
● Brian Mehler (CEO): Oversees strategy and institutional partnerships
● Sam Kazemian (CTO): Leads protocol design and core infrastructure
● Thibault Reichelt (COO): Focuses on operations and execution
Advisors:
Paolo Ardoino (Tether CEO / Bitfinex CTO) and other figures from payments and fintech.

How Stable (STABLE) Works
Stable is a blockchain built for moving and using USDT like digital cash, with one currency, one wallet, and sub-second settlement.
Blockchain Infrastructure
Stable operates as an institutional-grade blockchain optimized for USDT. It is EVM compatible, supporting Ethereum-style smart contracts and tooling.
USDT as Native Gas: All transaction fees and transfers are denominated in USDT. Users pay fees in the same asset they hold.
Sub-Second Finality: High throughput and sub-second finality with dedicated blockspace for institutional workloads.
Enterprise Features: Dedicated blockspace and confidential transfers for institutional privacy and compliance.
Technical Architecture
Execution Layer: EVM compatible execution. The roadmap introduces optimistic parallel execution and StableDB (Q4 2025), then DAG-based consensus (Q2 2026) targeting 10,000+ TPS.
Gasless UX: Peer-to-peer transfers are gas-free. All other fees are paid in USDT, removing the need for a separate gas token.
Security Stack: Delegated Proof of Stake (StableBFT). Validators stake STABLE to join consensus. Network fees paid in USDT.
User Process
1. Create Wallet: Users create or import a wallet that supports Stablechain
2. Hold USDT: Users hold USDT for both payments and transaction fees
3. Use Apps: Send, receive, and interact with apps using USDT. Peer-to-peer transfers are free, other actions deduct small fees in USDT

Stable Token (STABLE) and Economics
The STABLE token is the governance and incentive token for the Stable Layer 1. USDT is used as gas and for transaction settlement.
Token Details
● Token Ticker: $STABLE
● Blockchain: Native token of Stable Layer 1 (Stablechain)
● Total Supply: 100,000,000,000 (100 billion tokens, fixed)

Source: X
Token Distribution
● Ecosystem & Community: 40% (40,000,000,000 STABLE) for developer grants, user incentives, partnerships, liquidity programs
● Team: 25% (25,000,000,000 STABLE) with 4-year vesting and 1-year cliff
● Investors & Advisors: 25% (25,000,000,000 STABLE) with 4-year vesting and 1-year cliff
● Genesis Distribution: 10% (10,000,000,000 STABLE) for early liquidity, airdrops, and community activation
Token Utilities
● Governance: Holders vote on protocol upgrades, validator sets, and on-chain governance proposals
● Staking: Validators stake STABLE to join consensus and produce blocks. Delegators delegate STABLE to validators
● Rewards: Validators and delegators earn USDT from network fees, not newly minted STABLE
● Security: Misbehaving validators can be slashed, losing part of their staked STABLE
Why Stable?
USDT as Native Gas: Stable uses USDT itself as native gas, so users pay fees in the same asset they hold and send.
Stablecoin-First Design: Sub-second finality and high throughput tuned for high-frequency USDT flows.
Gasless Peer Transfers: Zero-gas peer-to-peer transfers.
Institutional Features: Dedicated blockspace with guaranteed throughput and confidential transfers for institutional privacy and compliance.
EVM Compatibility: EVM compatibility with modular SDKs for wallets, payments, and embedded finance using pre-packaged payment flows.
Phased Scaling Roadmap: Phase 1: USDT as gas, zero-fee P2P, sub-second finality. Phase 2: Transfer aggregators and enterprise blockspace. Phase 3: DAG-based consensus targeting 10,000+ TPS.
Ecosystem Backing: Incubated by Bitfinex with direct access to USDT's liquidity and distribution via Tether.
Leadership: Founded by Joshua Harding, currently led by CEO Brian Mehler, CTO Sam Kazemian, and COO Thibault Reichelt. Advisors include Paolo Ardoino (Tether CEO / Bitfinex CTO).
Backing: $28M+ from Bitfinex, Hack VC, PayPal Ventures, Franklin Templeton, Castle Island Ventures, Mirana Ventures, SIG, Nascent, Blue Pool Capital, BTSE, KuCoin Ventures.
Partnerships: Bitfinex and Tether, PayPal/PYUSD, Theo/Libeara/ULTRA RWA (Wellington Management, FundBridge, Standard Chartered), LayerZero, exchange ecosystem.
Developer Tools: EVM-compatible development stack with StableDocs at docs.stable.xyz. Testnet faucet and block explorer.
