According to CoinDesk, Sotheby's first auction of the inscribed BitcoinShrooms (three pixelated images) sold for approximately $450,000, five times its highest estimate. A total of 148 people bid on these three items, with over two-thirds of the bidders being new buyers at Sotheby's.
