This year, for the first time, Bitcoin's annual security budget as a proportion of its market value is higher than the previous year
According to a post by Kofi, a contributor at DefiLlama, on platform X, this year will be the first time in Bitcoin's history that the annual security budget as a percentage of market value is higher than the previous year (rising from 1.8% to 1.9%). The security budget is the amount miners earn to ensure network security. When this figure is high, the cost of a 51% attack is also high and vice versa.
