Fortune: US SEC Chairman Gary Gensler has stated that he is neither bullish nor bearish on Bitcoin
According to Fortune magazine, Gary Gensler, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), revealed in an interview that he did not spend most of his time on cryptocurrencies. After Hillary Clinton's defeat, Gensler was invited to teach at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He once stated that he would "make every effort to maintain a neutral view" and neither be bullish nor bearish on Bitcoin.
The SEC stated that it sued Coinbase and other self-proclaimed law-abiding Bitcoin exchanges because the virtual currencies they traded were not registered as securities and also involved other illegal activities. Gary Gensler believes that the actions taken by Hong Kong are clearly within the jurisdiction of the SEC.
