Bloomberg Analyst: The SEC "implicitly" regards ETH as a commodity, and the spot Ethereum ETF may be approved this year

Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart stated that the SEC has "implicitly" accepted Ethereum as a commodity when approving the
Ethereum futures ETF, which means we might see a spot Ethereum ETF listed this year.
Seyffart said that the SEC may not have enough room to question token classification. The analyst pointed out: "If they call Ethereum a security, it would be contradicting its sister regulatory agency CFTC. That's why I think we might see potential approval of an Ethereum ETF this year."
The final decision deadline for the SEC on VanEck, ARK 21Shares and Hashdex spot Ethereum ETF is May 2024.
