Conflux Network has announced its
Bitcoin Layer 2 roadmap. According to the roadmap, its short-term goal is to establish a BTC pledge mechanism and integrate basic features of the Bitcoin protocol, such as Ordinals and Inscription. The medium-term goal is to enhance the network's capabilities to support more complex interactions with the Bitcoin
blockchain, including advanced smart contract functions and improved asset bridging. The long-term vision is to build a fully interoperable ecosystem that seamlessly integrates with multiple blockchain networks, fostering a diverse and efficient decentralized environment.
In previous news, Conflux Network stated it would launch a Bitcoin L2 solution compatible with
Ethereum. Features include using BTC as Gas fees, bridging various assets on Bitcoin, and transferring various assets onto Bitcoin. The testnet is expected to launch between February and March this year, followed by mainnet in May.
