Bitcoin Web3 Infrastructure Provider Omega Closes $6 Million Funding Round
Bitcoin Web3 infrastructure provider Omega has announced the completion of a $6 million funding round from investors including Lightspeed Faction, Bankless Ventures, Blockchain.com, Wave Digital and others. Omega is committed to creating a decentralised infrastructure that redefines both the full chain and Bitcoin DeFi, and the team said the new funding will be used to help launch Omega's Bitcoin Web3 Infrastructure, the first decentralised solution to enable Bitcoin holders to leverage the value of their Layer 1 BTCs to generate revenue without the need for bridging, wrapping, or compositing, thus allowing native Bitcoin to be for use in DeFi.
