DeFi risk management company Gauntlet announces cessation of cooperation with Aave
According to the Aave governance forum, DeFi risk management company Gauntlet announced it will cease cooperation with Aave. Gauntlet will terminate payment flows as soon as possible and collaborate with other contributors to find a replacement for the risk manager. John Morrow, COO and co-founder of Gauntlet stated: "Over the past year, we have found it difficult to deal with inconsistent guidelines and unwritten goals from major stakeholders. Because of this, continuing Gauntlet's mission is best done elsewhere." It is reported that since 2020, Gauntlet has been serving as an independent risk manager for Aave DAO. During this period, the company was responsible for monitoring risks in Aave's lending market such as liquidation risks, deployments on new blockchains and accepting new assets as collateral.
