Arkham: The U.S. government transfers an address worth 1 billion dollars in Bitcoin
According to Arkham data, an address marked as "U.S. Government: Bitfinex Hacker Seized Funds" transferred 2818 bitcoins to a new address about 5 hours ago, worth approximately $173 million. Another related address subsequently transferred its holdings of 12,300 BTC also to a new address, valued at approximately $923 million. It is reported that these bitcoins come from the Bitfinex hacker funds seized by the U.S. Department of Justice, and the Department has not yet responded to the motive for the transfer.
