NEAR Protocol helps to solve the scalability issues of the Ethereum ecosystem
According to Foresight News, NEAR Protocol provides solutions for the scalability and fragmentation issues in the Ethereum ecosystem. Since its mainnet launch in October 2020, NEAR's four shards have achieved a normal uptime of 100%, with over 100 million registered accounts and a monthly active account (MAA) count of 16 million. NEAR Protocol is characterized by its simple architecture, high efficiency, low transaction costs, fast speed, and cost-effectiveness. The NEAR engineering team recently announced a shift towards stateless validation as the next phase of sharding, which will further reduce hardware requirements for certain types of validators and move states into memory. This means that the number of shards will increase significantly, thereby greatly improving NEAR's overall throughput.
