U.S. stocks open lower, gold stocks higher
Golden Ten Data reported on April 12 that the three major U.S. stock indexes opened lower, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.6%, the S&P 500 Index falling 0.7%, and the Nasdaq Composite Index falling 0.9%. The gold sector rose, with Cordair Mining (CDE.N) rising about 10%, and gold prices once reaching the $2,400 mark. Intel (INTC.O) fell about 2.7%, and AMD (AMD.O) fell about 3.5%.
