KPMG: Bitcoin still dominates 91% of investors' portfolios
A recent study by KPMG shows that investor sentiment seems to be rebounding after a turbulent year in the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin still dominates investors' portfolios (91%), followed by Ethereum (78%), reflecting strong asset preferences. The study surveyed about 2,400 private cryptocurrency investors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, showing an increase in cryptocurrency investments, with 54% of respondents allocating more than 20% of their total investment to digital assets. Particularly those who invest more than 50% of their assets into cryptocurrencies are committed to medium-to-long term investment in this industry, typically for three to five years. However, the study also highlighted a shift in investor behavior characterized by increased caution and scrutiny. Especially newcomers to the market are conducting more thorough evaluations of investment opportunities requiring providers to make greater efforts to convert interest into actual customers. This trend is evident from the huge gap between registration and active use on cryptocurrency exchanges.
