Bloomberg: Worldcoin seeks collaboration with OpenAI despite regulatory setbacks
Bloomberg, Worldcoin, a project that distributes digital identities and encrypted tokens by scanning human irises, is seeking to collaborate with tech giants such as OpenAI, despite facing global regulatory scrutiny and data privacy concerns. It is reported that OpenAI, co-founded by Sam Altman, has been investigated in Hong Kong, Germany, and Argentina, and even banned in Kenya. Recently, regulatory agencies in Spain and Portugal accused Worldcoin of allowing minors to undergo eye scans and obtain blockchain-based identity authentication, and subsequently ordered the project to stop collecting data. In addition, the company plans to launch a second-layer blockchain called "World Chain" and update its scanning device "orb". Worldcoin's token WLD has not yet been listed in the US market due to regulatory restrictions.
