Solana node validator Firedancer client is undergoing final integration and will be fully tested soon
On May 1st, Solana node validator Firedancer engineer cantelopepeel.eth posted that the final integration of the Firedancer client is proceeding smoothly. They added that there is still much work to be done, but the first comprehensive test is coming soon.
In late October last year, the Solana Foundation officially announced at the Solana Community Annual Summit Breakpoint that Solana's second node validator, Firedancer, had successfully launched on the testnet. Firedancer's development was completed by JumpCrypto, with the aim of improving the diversity of node clients, enhancing the stability of the Solana blockchain, and further improving Solana's resilience and resistance to attacks.
Compared to Solana's first client, Firedancer was developed using C/C++ language, which not only improves its compatibility and memory efficiency, but also helps to reduce the cost of running Solana nodes.
