Harvest plans to apply to open Hong Kong Bitcoin ETF to mainland China
ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoinist, Harvest Global Investments has confirmed plans to open these funds to mainland Chinese investors through the Hong Kong Stock Connect mechanism.
Harvest CEO Han Tongli discussed the possibility of including Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in the ETF Connect program at the Bitcoin Asia Conference. The program is part of the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect program launched in 2014 to connect Hong Kong and mainland China exchanges.
Han Tongli said: "We do not rule out applying to include our ETF in the Connect program, as long as everything goes well in the next two years."
