The circulating supply of Ethereum has been increasing for 73 consecutive days
According to data from ultrasound.money, since April 14th, the total supply of Ethereum has gradually increased by more than 112,000. Most of this inflation activity can be traced back to the Dencun upgrade that took place on March 13th. This upgrade introduced nine Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs), including EIP-4844, which seems to be the cause of inflation. EIP-4844 introduced a blob mechanism - a mechanism that allows transaction data to be separated and temporarily stored, thereby reducing block data fees paid on the second layer network of Ethereum. Although this significantly reduces the cost of executing transactions on Ethereum's second-layer networks such as Abritrum and Optimism, it also significantly reduces the total amount of ETH burned on the mainnet.
