Ethereum will launch a full-protocol "Hackathon" worth 2 million dollars
Ethereum is set to launch its first-ever hackathon, with an expected prize pool of $2 million, "aiming at the largest scale crowdsourced security audit of blockchain codebase". The Ethereum Protocol Security (EPS) research team explained in a blog post on July 8 that the so-called "hackathon" will see security researchers "actively looking for vulnerabilities in the protocol code" during a four-week "time-limited audit challenge".
