Exclusive: Hedge fund Jane Street reduced its holdings of Grayscale GBTC by 83% in Q2, and for the first time increased its holdings of BlackRock IBIT by $220 million
According to the second quarter 13-F filing submitted by hedge fund Jane Street to the SEC, Jane Street overall increased its position in spot Bitcoin ETFs in the second quarter. It held 8 spot BTC ETFs in the second quarter, with a total scale of about $690 million. In contrast, its Q1 holdings of BTC ETF assets were approximately $634 million.
Among them, Jane Street reduced its Grayscale GBTC holdings by 83% in Q2, reducing it by about $100 million and now holding assets worth approximately $16.56 million; it increased its WisdomTree BTCO holdings by 142%, now holding assets worth approximately $12.54 million; it increased Franklin EZBC's holdings by 183%, now holding assets worth approximately $13.48 million. In addition, Jane Street first added BlackRock IBIT and currently holds assets worth about $220 million.
