The three major U.S. stock indexes closed collectively higher, the Dow rose 1.03%, the Nasdaq rose 0.6%, the S&P 500 index rose 0.71%, most of the large technology stocks rose, Broadcom rose nearly 3%, Apple, Amazon rose more than 1%, Tesla, Google fell more than 1%.
