ECB Signal Possible Regulation of Bitcoin
On October 20, an analyst by the name of Tuur Demeester warned about a recently released document from the European Central Bank (ECB) that signals the looming possibility of regulation, heavy taxation, and even an outright ban on Bitcoin. The report, titled “The Distributional Consequences of Bitcoin,” argues that the rise in cryptocurrency prices has disproportionately benefited early adopters. This puts later investors at a disadvantage, according to the report.
