Fake cryptocurrency money changer scam in Hong Kong

a virtual currency fraud case occurred in Hong Kong's Tai Kok Tsui yesterday (October 26th). A woman transferred money via an online wallet to a "male employee" at a virtual currency exchange (OTC), who then left without paying the corresponding cash, and the woman realized she had been scammed and reported it. It is reported that the store claimed that the entity involved in the case is still under renovation, and the store in question does not belong to them and is a fake. Currently, the Hong Kong police have classified the case as "fraud" and have not arrested anyone. It is reported that the victim lost 12,000 Tether (USDT), equivalent to about HK$93,000 in total value.
