Japanese legislator proposes establishing national Bitcoin reserve
On December 11, Japanese Senator Satoshi Hamada formally submitted a proposal to the parliament for discussion on establishing a national Bitcoin reserve. This suggestion echoes the global trend of promoting the establishment of Bitcoin reserves, including similar proposals in Russia, Brazil, Poland and the United States.
As Bitcoin prices broke historical highs this month, reaching $103,000 USD, discussions about establishing national Bitcoin reserves have gained support in multiple countries. Senator Satoshi Hamada believes that a reserve of Bitcoins can help address global economic challenges and protect national assets.
