The three major U.S. stock indices collectively closed slightly lower, with the Dow down 0.03 per cent, the Nasdaq down 0.33 per cent, and the S&P 500 down 0.22 per cent, as popular tech stocks were mixed, with Broadcom down more than 2 per cent, Apple, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft down less than 1 per cent, and Tesla, Nvidia, and Meta up less than 1 per cent.
