Over 1.2 Million New SPL Tokens Added to Solana in April, Meme Coins Still Dominate On-Chain Transactions

According to a report by Jinse Finance, over 1.2 million SPL tokens were added to the Solana chain in April 2025, with the daily average number of new tokens ranging between 30,000 and 55,000. Analysis found that this growth was mainly driven by Meme coins, with many tokens issued through the Pump.fun platform. VanEck data shows that in January, Meme coins accounted for about 44% of DEX trading volume on the Solana chain, which slightly increased to 45% in April, still dominating the trading market.
