Foreign Media: US Government Sends Letter to American Companies Revoking a Restrictive Licensing Requirement, Paving the Way for Resumption of Ethane Exports to China
According to a report by Jinse Finance, citing Reuters, the U.S. government sent letters on Wednesday, July 2 (local time), to the two major U.S. ethane producers and exporters, Enterprise Products Partners and Energy Transfer, revoking a restrictive licensing requirement that had been implemented several weeks earlier. This move paves the way for the resumption of ethane exports to China. The report indicates that this is a signal of a truce in the ongoing U.S.-China trade war. It also notes that since the restrictions were lifted, eight vessels have already set sail for China. (Global Times)
