Show original
Odaily Planet Daily News Financial blog Zero Hedge: While nonfarm payroll data dominates labor market headlines, the rise in continuing jobless claims in the US remains noteworthy. Last week, initial jobless claims fell from 237,000 to 233,000, retreating from a nine-month high. Continuing jobless claims reached 1.964 million, the highest level since November 2021. The so-called Deep Tristate region (Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland) led the increase in continuing claims, reaching the highest level since December 2021. (Jin10)
