Vitalik Co-authors EIP-7983 Proposal to Set Gas Limit for Single Ethereum Transactions

According to a report by Cointelegraph cited by Jinse Finance, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Ethereum researcher Toni Wahrstätter have jointly authored proposal EIP-7983, which aims to set the gas limit for a single Ethereum transaction at 16.77 million. The proposal is intended to reduce the risk of denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, optimize the performance of zero-knowledge virtual machines (zkVM), and balance overall gas usage efficiency.
