Vitalik Co-authors EIP-7983 Proposal to Set Gas Limit for Single Ethereum Transactions
BlockBeats News, July 6 — According to a report by Cointelegraph, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Ethereum researcher Toni Wahrstätter have jointly authored proposal EIP-7983, which aims to set the gas limit for a single Ethereum transaction at 16.77 million.
This proposal is intended to reduce the risk of denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, optimize zero-knowledge virtual machine (zkVM) performance, and balance overall gas usage efficiency.
