Security Alert: Beware of Private Key Theft Threats from Unverified Script Tools
According to a report by Jinse Finance, as shared by SlowMist Chief Information Security Officer 23pds and reposted from X platform user @Miles082510, developer @web3_cryptoguy has been posing as a Web3 "tool creator." The script tools provided by this developer are suspected of scanning local sensitive files in the background, with the intent to steal private keys, wallet files, configuration files, code, mnemonic phrases, and other critical data. This data is secretly uploaded to anonymous servers, and users are almost completely unaware of the process. Users are advised to avoid using script tools from unknown sources.
