U.S. Crypto Stocks Rise Broadly on Monday, "HYPE Version of MicroStrategy" SONN Surges 86.46%
BlockBeats News, July 15 — U.S. stocks closed higher on Monday, with the Dow Jones up 0.2%, the Nasdaq up 0.27%, and the S&P 500 up 0.14%. U.S.-listed crypto-related stocks broadly rose, including:
“HYPE-version MicroStrategy” Sonnet BioTherapeutics Holding (SONN) surged 86.46% with a trading volume of $631 million. Yesterday, Sonnet announced a merger to form Hyperliquid Strategies and launch a treasury strategy, holding 12.6 million HYPE tokens and $300 million in cash;
SharpLink Gaming (SBET) rose 10.3% with a trading volume of $1.39 billion. Five hours ago, it continued to increase its holdings by purchasing 24,371 ETH, bringing its total ETH purchases to 294,000;
BIT Mining Ltd (BTCM) gained 10% with a trading volume of $117 million. Previously, the company announced it would convert its crypto holdings to SOL and raise $200–300 million for its Solana strategy;
Sequans Communications (SQNS) jumped 24.89%. The stock has already risen over 210% last week, with Monday’s trading volume at $62.72 million. Yesterday, SQNS announced an additional purchase of 683 BTC at an average price of $113,893 per BTC, bringing its total holdings to 1,053 BTC;
Upexi Inc (UPXI) climbed 10.58% with a trading volume of $51.4 million. Previously, Upexi announced the completion of a $200 million financing round to increase its SOL holdings;
Other notable crypto-related stocks: SRM Entertainment up 11.57%; a certain exchange up 3.78%; Circle surged 9.27%.
