Google Cloud announces its L1 blockchain GCUL information and opens the waitlist.
On August 27, according to official page information, Google Cloud announced details about its L1 blockchain, Google Cloud Universal Ledger (GCUL), and opened a waitlist. Google Cloud stated that GCUL can provide digital asset issuance, management, and settlement experiences. Its atomic settlement feature reduces risk and enhances liquidity. Google Cloud is exploring how to enable value transfer through secure transactional media, all of which are collateralized by bankruptcy-protected assets provided by regulated institutions, such as central bank deposits or money market funds.
