Mia the AI Joins Group Chats—iMe Transforms Conversations with Unique Character and Speech

iMe, a comprehensive messaging app developed using Telegram’s open infrastructure, has officially unveiled AI Chat 3.0—an extensive upgrade to its AI assistant. Building upon the achievements of AI Chat 2.0, this version brings a range of new capabilities, such as more advanced conversational AI roles, the ability to generate voice messages, and better contextual awareness. Notably, this update introduces Mia, an AI assistant for group chats that offers dynamic and personality-rich conversations.

Mia serves as a highlight of this release, providing users with an AI chatbot that can be granted admin privileges in group conversations. Unlike conventional bots, Mia doesn’t rely on inline buttons or being mentioned to reply; participants simply address her directly, for example, “Mia, how are you feeling?” to start a chat. Mia features her own sense of humor, distinctive personality, and heightened contextual understanding, helping her facilitate engaging discussions and produce media instantly. With the addition of voice replies, Mia can answer using audio, making interactions even more immersive.

Performance-wise, the AI Assistant can now interpret threaded messages more accurately, reducing unnecessary clarification requests and maintaining better conversation flow. Several new roles have been introduced, including the playful “Dream Boyfriend,” offering more tailored interaction experiences. A new Reminder Section has also been added, which will nudge users to interact if the assistant has been idle for some time. This reminder can be customized or turned off in the settings.

The AI Assistant remains available at no cost to all users, while iMe Premium offers higher usage quotas and access to exclusive AI models. Interactions are powered by AI Credits, which can be accumulated daily—2 credits from Telegram and 4 from the iMe app—or purchased through the App Store, Google Play, or Telegram Stars. Premium members receive 80 credits per day and a 200-credit welcome bonus. Watching short videos allows users to earn up to five extra free credits daily.
