Crypto VC Archetype raises $100 million for its third fund
September 23 news, according to Fortune, crypto venture capital Archetype raised $100 million for its third fund. It is reported that Archetype raised its first $55 million fund in 2021, and then raised its second $155 million fund during the peak of the 2022 crypto bull market. Although Archetype's third fund is smaller, at $100 million, Egan said this was intentional, choosing the right limited partners (LPs) and only adding one LP. Archetype's investors include pensions, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional investors, such as funds from Accolade Partners and True Bridge Capital, as well as top venture capital firm Sapphire Ventures. Archetype's next round of investments includes companies more focused on consumers, such as Remix, an application that combines cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence, allowing users to create mobile games.
