SuperImage’s Distributed AI Reduces Image Expenses by 90% Following $5M Funding

SuperImage, a decentralized platform for AI-driven image creation and editing, has secured $5 million in strategic investment, with Genesis Block Capital as the lead investor, according to PANews. This funding is intended to speed up product development and support international growth, with an emphasis on enhancing decentralized AI image solutions. Launched in June 2023, SuperImage utilizes a decentralized GPU network that pools unused computing resources from around the world, allowing individuals to mine with their own GPUs—either at home or professionally—and earn $SIC tokens as rewards.

The platform leverages several advanced latent text-to-image diffusion models, such as Hidream, Flux Dev, and Sana, to produce high-quality images at roughly one-tenth the cost of centralized services. Users can generate images by entering text prompts, and the system processes these requests through a distributed network of GPU miners, running the models locally on users’ devices. This decentralized framework accommodates multiple languages, supports importing custom models, and features a token-based reward system centered on the SIC token, which is built on the DeepBrainChain blockchain.

Among its notable offerings is a Telegram-based text-to-image generator, introduced in September 2024, which provides users with a simplified AI image creation process. The decentralized GPU network enables participants worldwide to contribute computing power and earn SIC tokens by the hour. The $SIC token distribution also includes airdrops for DBC token holders and exchange participants, as well as rewards for completing tasks and verifying users.

This investment round highlights the increasing interest in AI solutions integrated with Web3 technologies. By decentralizing the image generation process, SuperImage seeks to lower expenses and make sophisticated AI tools more accessible. The platform’s model of aggregating idle computing power helps address scalability issues commonly found in centralized systems.
