U.S. government "shutdown" continues as the Senate rejects the temporary funding bill for the 13th time
BlockBeats News, October 29, according to CCTV News, on October 28 local time, the U.S. Senate once again failed to pass a procedural vote, with a result of 54 votes to 45, to advance the "Fiscal Year 2025 Continuing Appropriations and Extension Act" aimed at ending the government shutdown. The bill had passed the House of Representatives and was intended to temporarily restore government operations at current funding levels, but required 60 votes in the Senate to advance.
This was the 13th vote on the bill, and it still did not reach the required threshold, meaning the U.S. government shutdown will continue.
