Blockchain-powered trading platform HelloTrade completes $4.6 million funding round, led by Dragonfly Capital
ChainCatcher reported that HelloTrade, a blockchain-driven trading platform co-founded by former BlackRock digital asset team members Kevin Tang and Wyatt Raich, has completed a $4.6 million first-round financing. The round was led by Dragonfly Capital, with participation from Mirana Ventures and support from angel investors.
HelloTrade aims to provide global investors with access to US asset investment channels through cryptographic technology, addressing the difficulties overseas users face in purchasing US stocks and other traditional investment products. The platform also offers perpetual futures trading services, allowing users to gain asset exposure beyond the platform's cash holdings. Kevin Tang previously served as Senior Director of BlackRock's digital asset team, while Wyatt Raich was the Head of Engineering at the company's Digital Asset Lab. Both were involved in the development of the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) ETF products during their tenure. HelloTrade's product is expected to officially launch by the end of this year or early next year.
