Deutsche Bank: S&P 500 Index Target for Next Year Set at 8,000 Points
Jinse Finance reported that Deutsche Bank Research Institute pointed out that, driven by artificial intelligence, 2026 will see another strong rally, and the S&P 500 Index is expected to break through the 8,000-point mark by the end of next year. Jim Reid, the bank's Global Head of Macro and Thematic Research, said on Monday: "Rapid investment and application in the AI sector will continue to dominate market sentiment. Given the rapid pace of technological advancement, we have every reason to believe this will translate into substantial productivity gains in the future. However, the ultimate determination of winners and losers will depend on a complex interplay of many factors, many of which may not become apparent until after 2026." Reid added, "Our US equity strategists (the most optimistic analysts on our team) have set a year-end target of 8,000 points, which is particularly noteworthy given their impressive track record of past forecasts."
