Berachain co-founder responds to "Nova Digital has $25 million investment refund rights": The report is neither accurate nor complete, and Nova remains one of the largest token holders.
ChainCatcher News, Berachain co-founder Smokey the Bera responded on social media to the news that "Berachain was reported to have granted Nova Digital a $25 million refund right in its Series B financing," stating that the report is "neither accurate nor complete."
Smokey the Bera clarified the details of Brevan Howard's investment agreement: Brevan Howard, through its Abu Dhabi office's Nova fund, co-led Berachain's Series B financing a year ago, and the investment terms were the same as those for other investors. Nova's compliance team requested the addition of clauses to guard against the risks of TGE failure and failure to list, so both parties signed a supplementary commercial agreement, which included a commitment to provide liquidity after the network launch.
Smokey the Bera emphasized that Nova remains one of the largest, if not the largest, token holders of Berachain. Nova holds locked BERA tokens obtained in the Series B financing as well as liquid BERA tokens purchased from the open market, and has continued to increase its holdings amid market fluctuations.
