Trump hints at questioning Biden's use of an autopen to sign Federal Reserve official appointments
Jinse Finance reported that on Tuesday, Trump asked the Treasury Secretary to investigate whether former President Biden used an autopen to sign appointment documents for some Democratic members of the Federal Reserve Board. At a rally in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Trump said: "I heard that these appointments may have been signed by an autopen, maybe all four, maybe just a few. Let's just check two of them." He then said to Treasury Secretary Scott Besent, who was present: "Scott, can you check this for me?" Trump has previously questioned the validity of official documents signed by Biden using an autopen. An autopen is a mechanical device that can replicate a person's signature and has been used by presidents from both parties for decades. Last week, Trump announced the repeal of some pardons and commutations signed by Biden in January this year, claiming that these documents were signed with an autopen—a move that legal experts say has no legal basis.
