The UK FCA Seeks Feedback on Cryptocurrency Regulation Rules
BlockBeats News, December 16th, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has launched a consultation on proposed UK cryptocurrency regulation rules, which include topics such as entry and disclosure, market manipulation, cryptocurrency trading platforms, intermediaries, custody, lending, DeFi, and prudential regulatory requirements. The deadline for the consultation is February 12, 2026.
FCA's Head of Payments and Digital Currencies, David Geale, stated, "Our aim is to establish a framework that can protect consumers, support innovation, and promote trust. We have made significant progress in implementing our cryptocurrency regulation plan and are helping companies meet our standards and complete registration, while also awaiting further legislation."
