Bitget to list Shardeum adding it to Spot Trading

Bitget, the leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company, has announced the listing of Shardeum, adding it to spot trading. Shardeum is an EVM-based, autoscaling L1 blockchain that uses dynamic state sharding to scale linearly and maintain low gas fees with true decentralization and solid security through dynamic state sharding. Trading for the SHM/USDT pair will begin on 8 May 2025, 10:00 (UTC), with withdrawals available from 9 May 2025, 11:00 (UTC).
Shardeum's innovative architecture allows the network to scale linearly. Each new node boosts transactions per second (TPS), targeting over 1 million TPS while keeping gas fees near zero, even under peak demand. Unlike traditional blockchains, its Proof-of-Quorum (PoQ) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus ensures transaction-level finality, slashing latency and enhancing security. With 128 nodes per shard and atomic cross-shard composability, developers can deploy Solidity or Vyper smart contracts seamlessly, mirroring Ethereum’s ecosystem without sharding complexities.
