South Africa has begun issuing licenses to cryptocurrency firm Luno
South Africa has started issuing licenses to cryptocurrency companies, and Luno is one of the first companies to receive regulatory approval. It is reported that the country's regulatory agency plans to approve about 60 digital asset companies by April.
Cryptocurrency exchange Luno said that the company has been licensed by the South African financial regulatory agency and has become one of the first regulated cryptocurrency entities in the country. Luno PTY LTD now appears on the authorized entity register of the FSCA (Financial Sector Conduct Authority). The company has been approved as a financial product under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act of 2002 (FAIS).
