On Wednesday, Oura revealed the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic, marking its debut line of smart rings without metallic finishes. Alongside this, the company introduced its first charging case, a new Health Panels feature that enables users to schedule blood tests directly through the Oura app, support for multiple rings, and additional updates.

The Oura Ring 4 Ceramic is crafted from zirconia ceramic, which Oura claims offers both strength and a lightweight feel. The company characterizes this new collection as merging “fashion and comfort.”

According to Oura, the rings’ colors are derived from natural minerals within the ceramic, rather than being painted or coated, ensuring the hues remain vivid and do not fade as time passes.

Each Oura Ring 4 Ceramic includes a Polishing Pad designed to remove marks that might be caused by softer metals, such as those in kitchenware or gym equipment. To minimize the risk of scratches, Oura recommends wearing the ring on your non-dominant hand to reduce accidental impacts.

The ring is available in four shades: Tide, Cloud, Petal, and Midnight. The collection is set at $499, with membership offered at $5.99 monthly or $69.99 annually. Sizes range from 4 to 15.

“We want to offer even more reasons for people to choose an Oura ring, and that’s what we’re doing with the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic line,” Jason Russell, Oura’s VP of Consumer Software Product, told TechCrunch. “These rings are made from a distinctive ceramic zirconia material, which is more commonly used in watches or jewelry. The colors are lively and expressive, yet subtle enough for daily use.”

Russell added, “This isn’t just another tech gadget—it’s something you wear openly. We’re always thinking about how to help people express themselves, to find a ring that matches their personal style and how they want to present themselves. The Oura Ring 4 Ceramic offers a fresh way to do just that.”

Regarding the new Oura Ring 4 Charging Case, Oura explained that it was developed in response to user requests for a portable charging solution.

The charging case can hold up to five full charges for the ring and uses a USB-C cable. Both the case and the ring can be fully charged in 90 minutes. Oura also notes that the case serves as a secure storage option when the ring is not being worn.

The charging case is priced at $99 and will be available for purchase later this year.

Oura also rolled out Health Panels within its app, allowing users to monitor 50 different biomarkers alongside their daily sleep, readiness, and activity stats. Through Health Panels, users can schedule a blood test at any of over 2,000 Quest Diagnostics locations in the U.S. for $99 using the Oura app.

“You’ll be able to walk in and have your blood drawn without the usual wait times,” Russell explained. “Once the results are ready, they’ll be delivered directly to your Oura app. We’ll notify you, and you’ll get a summary. As always, Oura Advisor will help interpret your data and highlight the most important insights,” he said.

“We’ll indicate which results are within the normal range and which aren’t. You’ll also have access to the complete set of results. We aim to help you understand what actions you can take to influence these health metrics,” Russell continued.

Users can also ask questions in the app, such as, “What does an A1C of 5.7% mean?” or, “What steps can I take to improve my cholesterol?”

Oura notes that combining blood biomarker data with Oura Ring readings can help uncover links between lifestyle, habits, and underlying health patterns that might otherwise be missed.

Russell shared that the goal of Health Panels is to make comprehensive blood testing more accessible and affordable. He pointed out that when you see a doctor for a specific concern, they usually order lab work focused only on that issue.

As a result, other useful information in the results often goes unnoticed or is difficult to interpret. Russell emphasized that this broader data can provide valuable insights into your overall health and possible underlying problems.

While there are already services that let you order blood tests independently, Russell mentioned that these options can be costly, sometimes running into the hundreds of dollars, which is why Oura is offering Health Panels for $99.

Finally, Oura announced that users can now link and switch between multiple Oura Ring 4 colors on one account. This feature lets users coordinate their ring with their activities or outfits throughout the day.
