CME Group, recognized as the top global derivatives exchange, has joined forces with CF Benchmarks, a provider of cryptocurrency benchmark indices, to introduce two new

volatility indices: the CF Bitcoin Volatility Index (BVX) and its daily settlement version (BVXS). These indices, , are designed to equip institutional investors with advanced tools for assessing and managing risk within the fast-changing digital asset sector.

The BVX will deliver real-time updates every second from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central Time on all CME trading days, while the BVXS will provide a single daily settlement figure at 4 p.m. London time

Both indices calculate their values based on implied volatility found in CME’s regulated Bitcoin and Micro Bitcoin options, presenting a forward-looking, 30-day constant maturity perspective on price movement.
